Extreme Diets Rarely Work

A good reason why most people can not continue with fad diets for a long time is that dietary recommendations are too complex to perform. Over a sustained period of time is difficult to sustain serious imbalances in its daily feeding pattern, people tend to get bored of eating according to such established rules.

People also tend to rebel against the ban on their favorite snacks. Before you know it, the desire for snacks and comfort food becomes overwhelming want. If you do not replace the old habits of eating healthy and sustainable patterns of eating, it is inevitable that we will return to our old ways. That’s why the failure rates of one diet works for some ninety-five percent.

If you like a certain type of food, eg chocolate, do not try to stop eating altogether or you will end up so miserable that you begin to eat it for every meal. Only a square of chocolate can be snacked slowly over a period of ten minutes, enough to satisfy those cravings. In addition, the chocolate square is only about a gram of fat and calories in around eighty, small enough number that can be enjoyed as a treatment in almost any nutritional plan.

Why can not people just follow a system of any of the thousands of diet books on the market? The answer is because each person is unique, and what works for one person may not operate as follows.

Everyone’s nutritional needs are slightly different. A diet book can give us a general plan to start our search for a nutritious diet, but it is trial and error to discover what our body needs to thrive in particular.

A good idea is to keep a food diary. For example, some people can eat a meal of chile, no side effects, while just one spoonful of chile can send someone in extreme gastrointestinal distress. By maintaining a blog, you’ll soon know that food does not agree with you, and you can learn to stay away from them. Something as obvious as stated in constant daily food consumption and taking note of the symptoms that arise can be enough to cure things such as indigestion, headaches or heartburn.
